Guqin, a traditional Chinese musical instrument, is a 7-stringed zither. Looking simple, plain and elegant in appearance and sounding soft, mellow and graceful in timbre, it is loved by literati in different dynasties in ancient China. An exhibition of Guqin is underway at the Sichuan Museum, displaying 19 pieces of Guqin , each with its own name. Among the exhibits, the most eye-catching one is Shijian Qiaobing (石澗敲冰), a Guqin made in the Tang Dynasty (618-907) and collected by the Sichuan Museum.
